- Surface finishes available to 16 Ra or better depending on material and tooling
3+2 Milling Options
Our HAAS VF-4 equipped with a HAAS TR210 dual-axis trunnion provides advanced 3+2 milling capabilities for complex, precision-machined components. By rotating and positioning the part before machining, we can access multiple sides and angled features without repeatedly removing and re-fixturing the workpiece.
Benefits of 3+2 Milling:
- Fewer Setups – Machine multiple sides of a component with significantly less re-fixturing.
- Improved Accuracy – Maintaining the part in a single fixture helps reduce tolerance stack-up and positioning errors between operations.
- Complex Features – Efficiently machine angled holes, pockets, faces, and other features that are difficult to access with traditional 3-axis machining.
- Reduced Lead Times – Fewer setups and fixtures help reduce overall machining and setup time.
- Greater Flexibility – Ideal for complex prototypes, precision components, and repeat production parts.
Our VF-4 and TR210 combination allows us to approach complex parts more efficiently, reducing setups while improving consistency, accuracy, and overall manufacturability.
Additional Highlights
- High-speed spindles to 60,000 RPM for fine detail
- Precision tolerances for both metals and plastics
- Support for short-run, prototype, and production volumes
- Domestic materials sourcing to meet U.S. industry standards
